I used to work in a university in research and teaching Linguistics up untill 8 years ago, when I´ve got breast cancer and working became very difficult, in addition to run a house. I know there are many women who manage everything, but I couldn´t. Besides, before quitting my job I was very unhappy doing what I was doing. Researchers and professors have egos the size of elephants, it had been very hard for me to deal with people, smart people trying to fight one another for a... what? A position? I don´t really know. So I quit and learned all kinds of crafts - embroider, weave, wood painting, Christmas decorations, some patchwork... I found out I loved them, really loved them. I attended many classes, different types of classes, and it was all normal stuff.... sometimes people help you, sometimes they do not, sometimes they are your friends, sometimes they are jealous and envious, it happens. But I kept going, creating new projects, and sometimes getting out, for certain periods of time (as all cancer patients do, according to their various health issues), but never really quitting.
Scrapbook is different, somehow, I don´t even know it is a coincidence. Well, today there are Facebook groups, Youtube channels, Instagran, Pinterest, and all these put people together and if they are together with the same type of interests, they tend to exchange information, yes? No, not really, not always. Still, it´s amazing to me to find so many people trying to help one another in their projects, and I´m especially thankfull to them nowadays.
Now, Christmas is here with some new scrapbook projects. A little bit late... Christmas Eve, my family gathers here, so I´ve got a lot of work around the house. But I´m trying to do all I can. I love Christmas decoration and combining it with scrapbook is the best thing I´ve ever done in my life. I´ll try to show you as I go along with it.
Here is a mini album I made with Graphic 45 paper:
Thanks, see you....
